Himalayan Adventure Labs (HAL) is thrilled to announce our most ambitious undertaking yet: an extraordinary two-year Himalayan expedition throughout 2026 and 2027. We’re not just offering trips; we’re inviting you to join us as we dedicate ourselves to unlocking the Himalayas’ most legendary trails and venturing deep into its seldom-seen hidden valleys (known as beyuls). This is your chance for a true immersion in the very heart of the world’s greatest mountain range.

The Great Himalayan Trail: Section by Section. Season by Season.
Forget the usual quick hit. We’re launching a unique sectional journey along the iconic Great Himalayan Trail (GHT). Each season, our team will establish a temporary base camp (a combination of select teahouses and wild camps), allowing us to truly live and breathe one to three distinct regions. We’ll be moving east to west, starting with the colossal Kanchenjunga region and pushing all the way to remote Humla. We’re even scouting thrilling possibilities in Tibet and Nepal’s wild Api Nampa Conservation Area.

Why this deep dive? It’s simple: we’re building next-level authentic experiences. By immersing ourselves for an entire season, we’ll gain unparalleled local knowledge, forge genuine connections with the people, savor unique regional cuisine, and navigate the landscapes with an intimacy no short trip can offer. This approach allows for a full spectrum of high-octane activities: trekking, fastpacking, trail running, mountain biking, bouldering, and even targeted peak climbing! Expect streamlined logistics, deeper insights, and a far more profound, rewarding adventure.
Plus, if you’re an independent GHT crosser, know that as managers of the GHT Database, we’re excited to offer potential on-the-ground assistance along these sections in 2026/27. If you are planning to thru-hike the GHT, reach out to us!

Tentative GHT expedition highlights: Dial in your adventure!
