No, seriously, registering for our fastpacks is quick and easy – all of our events are on Ultrasignup where you will be asked to fill out a short registration form and place a $250 USD deposit. Ultrasignup will also charge you a processing fee (around $18 USD depending on the event) which we will later deduct from your final balance. We know that ‘stuff’ happens, so don’t worry – your deposit is refundable if you change your mind within 30 days.
We want to make sure things are a good fit
Please give us at least two days to review your application/background. We want to make sure that people who join our trips are a good fit (and that the trip is a good fit for you). If things don’t line up, we will provide you an immediate refund. Otherwise, we will send you a welcome letter with links to the comprehensive HAL Nepal handbook and also your trip-specific handbook. We’ll also clue you in on the next scheduled online briefing for the group. As we get closer to the event, we will ask you to upload a scan of your passport, a passport picture, and also flight and insurance information. And we will send you a balance for your event fee which will be due within 30 days of your deposit unless other arrangements are made (just ask).
Terms and Conditions
The transaction for your final balance will be done through an invoice that we email you – this can be securely paid with any major credit card or paypal (you do not need to create a paypal account). The transaction will come from Accumethods LLC which is a licensed business in Washington State, USA. Accumethods handles payments to HAL as there are limited international banking options for handling credit cards in Nepal. You will see this name on the payment email confirmation. If you would like to send a check or money wire, just email us: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Note that your full balance should be paid within 30 days of your deposit unless other arrangements are made (we can work with payment plans, just ask). Please see our refund policy. If we are unable to extend an invitation for some reason, we will refund your deposit. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may result in trip cancellation. We recommend all members have travel cancellation insurance to recover any funds advanced for a scheduled trip. We will provide documentation for proof of payment to assist you in filing a claim with your carrier.
Your deposit ($250 USD) is refundable if you change your mind within 30 days. After 30 days deposits ($250 USD) cannot be refunded. Funds received for the balance (not a deposit) of a trip are refundable (minus paypal transaction fees of ~2.9%) when requested no less than 120 days prior to departure. Funds received for the balance (not a deposit) of a trip are fifty-percent refundable (minus paypal transaction fees of ~2.9%) when requested no less than 90-120 days prior to departure. Sorry, refunds are not available less than 90 days from the date of departure. These deposits are used to secure group rates and establish advance logistics.
We reserve the right to cancel any trip or reservation on the basis of lack of participation, however, this is extremely unlikely.

- Deposit of $250 is required before you can enroll in the installment plan.
- Your installment plan will start after you place the deposit. However, the first installment payment is to be made before the end of next month from your deposit month. For eg; if you make a deposit on May, your first installment is due on end of June.
- Uniform installment payment of $500 per month until you pay the outstanding dues, unless other arrangements are made.
- The outstanding balance has to be paid in full no later than 4 months before the start date of the event.
